Two L&P attorneys, Kevin Laurence and Matt Phillips, have consistently been recognized as leading practitioners in the United States for post-grant proceedings based on peer reviews by Intellectual Asset Management and other sources. They bi-annually taught advanced three-day courses on post-grant proceedings for Patent Resources Group during 2009–2019. In conjunction with that course, they co-authored a two-volume treatise entitled “Post-Grant Patent Practice.” They have also co-authored over 40 articles on post-grant patent topics and are frequent speakers on topics related to post-grant proceedings.
L&P attorneys are also highly experienced with other post-grant proceedings at the USPTO besides IPRs and PGRs, namely, reexaminations, and reissue applications. Our experience with these various options provides our clients with significant advantages because we are able to consider and deploy an array of options to achieve our client’s objectives.
